Today’s remake starts with one of our favorite foundation pieces, a denim mini! Yes, it’s time for another denim mini makeover! Now we are building up quite a stash of denim minis to work with, but when we saw this one the other day at Goodwill, we couldn’t resist! And it was only $2.50. Now you just tell us, could you have resisted this?
Irresistible!
Here’s a closeup of that embroidered side patch. I mean just look at this beauty! It adds a sort of Asian influence to the whole thing!

Now, the blueish purple color in the center of some of those flowers is pretty hard to match, be we just happened to find a Relativity skirt at Goodwill for $2.50. So what was it’s problem? Just about twice the size we needed it to be!
Only about 8 sizes too big!
Alright, here’s what we did:
Step 1: Iron around bottom of denim mini to make it ready to receive the bottom half!
Step 2: Cut off top 2 inches of large blue skirt.
Step 3: Zig-zag around new top of large blue skirt.
Step 4: Sew blue skirt to bottom of denim mini.
Step 5: Sew additional line of stitching for decorative hem.
That’s All! So now you can see how to take a large skirt that’s just the right color and use it in a denim mini makeover!
Look at that lovely combination!
This skirt is just perfect for some fall frolicking! Just add a turtle and some boots. Rake together a huge pile of leaves and get ready to jump!
